JOB HUNTING WEBSITES:

Employers use a variety of websites to advertise for open positions. These are some helpful places to start your search.

 Monster.com
Monster.com is a very user-friendly site. The home page is clear and it’s easy to plug in a keyword and location. The search results automatically show positions within 20 miles of the location you enter. It contains national data and also information on jobs in Maine.

 Careerbuilder.com
Careerbuilder is easy to navigate and gives you the following info:

  • A national job search database  (search by keyword, location, or careers by category)

Indeed.com
Indeed is very user friendly and simple to use. It covers a wide range of jobs and locations. You can search by job title, keyword, and company name, or by location. You can also upload your resume to this site. Indeed.com searches other websites for job postings, so if there’s a job posted out there, Indeed.com will pick it up and list it.

https://www.jobsinnh.com/
The Jobs In New Hampshire database is available to all those interested in finding jobs throughout the state. You can search for jobs by location or job category. This database is easy to use and the results are very complete. The home page is very simple and easy to navigate. You can post your resume and search for jobs by location on this site. There are also links to videos including a video on interviewing tips to college students (but could be useful to anyone who would be interviewing).

Craigslistnh.com
Craigslist lists jobs by category. There are only a few local listings, but it might be worth checking occasionally. When I looked up a job on Craigslist, I received a warning that affiliate scammers are posting bogus ads promising (nonexistent!) employment, paid research trials, or other compensation, but then notifying repliers that they'll need to jump through a hoop first by sharing personal information. So, be cautious when using Craigslist.
